Touchscreen Game Case Study – SP Events
SP Events is a premium events and entertainments business specialising in supplying high quality, interactive entertainments for corporate and private customers. SP Events required a bespoke touchscreen game to play on a giant touchscreen table. The touchscreen was for an exhibition stand of one of the world’s leading engineering corporations. The event was EWEA in Paris, Europe’s premier wind energy event. The touchscreen with bespoke touchscreen game was designed to engage delegates and raise awareness about the client’s projects.
What was done
SP Events used their expertise to design the touchscreen game and gameplay. Then we developed the bespoke touchscreen game software from scratch to make it come to life.
In the touchscreen game users had to drag the client’s rigs to their correct location as quickly as possible. The touchscreen game worked offline so no internet was required. It saved results locally on the touchscreen with a real-time leaderboard. Players were ranked by most correct answers and then by their time.
The touchscreen game was loaded onto our 46″ Touchscreen with integrated PC. The touchscreen game was completely ‘locked-down’ to be plug and play. It meant all the client had to do on the exhibition stand was turn on the power! We delivered and set-up the 46″ Touchscreen at the event in Paris. The 46″ Touchscreen was mounted onto a lectern style table stand designed by SP Events, simply using a universal VESA mount bracket.
The 46″ Touchscreen with bespoke touchscreen game was a huge success. The touchscreen game helped engage delegates in a fun and informal way, while collecting key contact details.
